Sean Shannon
Sean and I met back in 2007 at a wine-tasting event in Cape Town that I was attending with my cousin Paul and his wife Christine, who is a former schoolmate of Sean’s. A man who’s not shy to express his opinions (particularly about rugby), Sean is capable of conversing at length on most topics. Originally in sports marketing - which included a stint as a rugby commentator on the SABC - Sean has pivoted in recent years to pursue his passion: photography. Starting his business at a relatively late age - in his 40s - Sean has made a go of it, demonstrating his skills at portraiture and clever use of light to capture his subjects’ unique personalities in a single shot. Having lived in several different cities, Sean is firmly planted in Cape Town, a city he loves and revels in with its spectacular landscapes and wide selection of models to work with.
