Nicola Cole

My sister is the eldest in the family and as a result, has been a trailblazer in many respects.  Fiercely independent and a seeker of new experiences, she has travelled the planet; an activity that brought her together with her partner Grant, an amazingly entrepreneurial and loving South African man.  Nicola has always impressed me with her internal fire, contrasted against a demeanour that is calm and accepting.  A nurse from the beginning of her career, she has also been a masseuse, Reiki practitioner, and craniosacral therapist, a testament to her caring, intuitive, and spiritually-attuned nature.  In recent years, I have observed my sister as a mother to two daughters who are, unsurprisingly, strong, smart, and sporty. I’ve also seen her fight through the pernicious pain of cancer with an amazing combination of grace and ferocity.  A woman of deep conviction and a strong sense of what she wants from life, Nicola has made her own path in the world and I respect the manner in which she continues to follow her instincts with an enviable willpower.
