Leon Verheem

Otherwise known as 'The Gentleman’, Leon is a friend who is skilled in many departments, whether it’s whipping together a dinner party, imbibing like a champion, or extricating strangers from a friend’s house party…the man has skills! With the grace and friendliness of a maître d’, Leon is able to connect with just about anyone.  Well-read, intelligent, and always up for a drink, he is an extraordinarily ‘on-the-ball’ individual who’s able to tell fabulous stories, share his knowledge on just about any topic, or competently contribute to a trivia night at just about any bar. With the memory of an elephant and the kindness of a saint, Leon is an impressive individual who was one of the early members of the Steak, Whisky & Cigar Club of Cape Town, enthusiastically embracing the essence of the club and all that membership entails. I have learned much about thoughtfulness and generosity from Leon, and appreciate everything he has done in being a supportive friend during my time in Cape Town.
