Katie Horton-Murray

Katie is a good girl for whom I was a bad boyfriend. She lived by my high school and I was captivated by her smile. The eldest daughter among three gorgeous girls, Katie stood out for me with her kindness, warm brown eyes, and strong devotion to friends and family.  Married at a relatively young age and now settled in California with her husband, Glen, a former pro hockey player, she has become, unsurprisingly, a great mother. In the days of writing letters, Katie was consistent in her correspondence, and I always appreciated how she asked after me to see how I was doing. At her core, she is a very selfless individual, looking out for and supporting those in need (including puppies and the less fortunate).  A truly all-Canadian beauty who’s gone on to be an all-American mum, Katie never forgets her Maritime roots which she visits with regularity (a place where I was honoured to see her tie the knot).
