Julian Diaz

This friend has a voice I can only describe as liquid chocolate: smooth, rich and warm.  He also happens to be a great marketer with a passion for software and strong corporate culture.  Julian and I were supposed to meet through the online service MeetUp when I was settling in to Cape Town in 2007, but fortunately, we ended up meeting the ‘old-fashioned way’, through friends. The husband of Katie, a gorgeous straight-talking woman who Julian loves endlessly, Julian has a way with words and an ability to express himself that is unparalleled among most of my friends. He regularly conveys his love for Katie who fought (and defeated) breast cancer as a relatively young woman.  Julian’s recollection of this and how much he treasures his wife were succinctly captured when he called in to the BBC in response to their appeal for inspiring, uplifting and heartwarming stories from 2019. Julian, you are a true gentleman and I am so pleased to see you as a dad, the best adventure of life!
