Johanna ‘Yo Yo’ Stamps

An American by birth, this woman has Africa in her heart.  We met in Cape Town through my friend Pieter and a mutual friend Diana, another American who also worked with me to grow the PechaKucha brand in the city. I am grateful to “Yo Yo” for her example of how to embrace life and pursue dreams.  She was always making connections and befriending individuals looking to ‘make a difference’, challenge the status quo, and find a better way.  Deeply devoted to her Christian faith, Johanna demonstrates a love of humankind that is reflected in a selflessness and curiosity that welcomes ‘difference’. Now a mum, she has been a wonderful “auntie” and godmother to my son, spoiling him, squeezing him and cherishing him as the God-given blessing that he is in our lives.
