Douglas Cole
A sibling is a special thing to have and I am especially grateful for the relationship I have with my older brother Douglas. He has always been diligent about keeping in touch and seeking out family activities. A father of two girls, he has taken on parenthood with the kind of intensity expected of him. The fact is, Douglas does nothing in half measures. When he commits to something, he’s all in. Whether it’s preparation for a boxing match during his MBA at Wharton - for which he hired a personal trainer - or readying for an on-stage performance in front of his colleagues at LinkedIn, Douglas has a level of focus and intensity that is superhuman. I would go so far as to say it’s a superpower, and it’s one of the things I really admire about him. As his practice dummy for various mixed martial arts moves learned over the years, I also know that one has to prepare to defend yourself when facing off against Douglas. He always comes to the battle prepared, and the same applies to verbal arguments. An intellectual through-and-through, Douglas is very well-read and revels in the chance to learn more, accumulating what he knows like an encyclopedia.
