Andy Harrison
One of the smartest guys I know, Andy is a rugby-playing engineer I met at McGill who cleverly pivoted into financial services following his Masters in Chemical Engineering at Cornell. In venture capital Andy found a new passion and has subsequently gone on to focus on the healthcare sector. A maritimer originally, he’s moved from the East Coast to the West Coast to work with Verily, the health-tech arm of Alphabet that aims to better understand, prevent, detect, and manage diseases. Andy has also embraced Californian living and settled down to become a dad (and a motorcycle rider). With a sparkle of mischief in his eyes and an amazing sense of humour, Andy is a person who has an infectious laugh, and the ability to get along with just about everyone. Intensely loyal to his friends and family, he is always up for some tomfoolery and talking nonsense. I’m grateful to Andy for showing me the balance between serious and silly.
